Explore the Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate Series (Second Series), also known as Nadi Shodhana or “nerve cleansing.” Building on the foundations of the Primary Series, this workshop develops strength, flexibility, focus, and stamina.
Expect a challenging yet fun and supportive environment, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, explore alternatives, and work towards more advanced postures at your own pace.
Expect backbends, arm balances, twists, and more, all broken down with clear guidance, modifications, and progressive options. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, explore alternatives, and work towards postures at your own pace in a fun and encouraging environment.
While traditionally taught to those who have mastered the Primary Series, this session is designed to be inclusive and accessible, offering modifications and progressive approaches so more students can experience its benefits.
Suitable for those with an established yoga practice (some experience of the Primary Series is helpful). Not suitable for beginners.
Donna Southwell is a well-known, much loved and dedicated Ashtanga practitioner since 1999 and full-time teacher since 2003, with extensive experience adapting the practice for injury, pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause.
